hi,
Configuration:
my domain have 3 instances of PMG listed as MXes,
location 1 (in "normal" DC):
- 1st PMG one on VPS , connected to router in location 2 via VPN on separate VM
location2:
- have 2 ISPs.
- have UPS but it only could keep up for about 30-40 minutes and sometimes power goes down for longer.
- sometimes it's necessary to shutdown everything for maintenance
- have PMGs #2 and #3(connected to different ISPs) in VMs
All PMGs route mail to "real" mail server (mailcow in VM on location 2)
Problem:
If location 2 is down (or mailcow VM is down) - PMG tries to deliver email to mail, fails and sends bounce to sender. Some senders reacts badly to this.
How to disable sending bounces so if one of PMG instances accepted mail - it will try to redelivery it to real server and will not send bounces.
