Good morning everyone,
I'm no proxmox expert and thank you for your awesome support.

I'm in the testing phase.

I created two physical proxmox VE(7.4.3) machines and interfaced via cluster.

Cluster1 has one physical disk to dedicate to backup. When I mount the disk on cluster2 via GUI I get this error.

I think you would have to mount the disk manually.

Could I get detailed rookie instructions on how to deal with the case permanently? thanks again everyone.

Thanks a lot for your reply, so according to the doc I can't share a directory between clusters.

From the GUI interface, however, there is a "shared" check. It's not clear what it's for...

Is there no way around this limitation? I would like to make an additional backup of the VMs of Cluster1 on the physical directory of Cluster2.

Hi,

The "Directory" storage doesn't support shared storage. You have to use one of the supported in the table, see below link [0]

The "shared" property for storage is used to mark storage as shared among multiple nodes in the same cluster, but in your case didn't work since you use non-supported storage for the sharing.
