How to monitor Proxmox Mail Gateway

Hi everybody,

we did a fresh installation of Proxmox Mail Gateway 6.3-4

I would like to monitor the system using PRTG Network Monitor. PRTG found a SMTP sensor but even if I stop all prmg* services on the mail gw, the sensor shows no failure.
Are there any best practices how to monitor the Proxmox Mail Gateway? Is there any one out there, who uses PRTG to monitor the GW?

Sorry, but PRTG is our monitoring system, so Nagios is no option
