may you check first if the "slowness" is a generally issue or configuration issue
for instance: i made an config wrong and the ceph was between 30 to 60 seconds down to 0 seconds (no joke, it just pops up the dialog windows and shows in the next secound "task done")
if you migrate other VMs, do you experience the same issues ?
