I'm using Arch Linux distribution on my personal system and i like proxmox but how to install proxmox on Arch linux instead of debian? (

I do not want to change the distribution to debian :))) )

it's not possible - our packaging integrates quite tightly with the base Debian system, and all the packages are only tested against the respective Debian base system as well.

hey, I'm new on proxmox but I maybe found a way. It can be simple and fast (if you want), I wanted to check what was on the ISO of proxmox with winrar and discovered all proxmox .deb files, the problem is that there is a lot of packages and some of them will probably be worthless, so prepare yourself to do some sorting before installing them. At this time I didn't found another way to get the proxmox .deb files other than searching them in the ISO file, their directoryfor me is \proxmox-ve_8.1-1.iso\PROXMOX\PACKAGES\ . If I do a list of the necessary packages I will send it in this post, see you later (maybe) !1705428252722.png

all the source code and packages are public anyway, no need to attempt to deconstruct the ISO. none of that changes what I wrote above - the code is tailored to run on Debian (and a specific version of it), and only tested in that combination. you would need a lot of changes to end up with an effectively unsupported system that will quickly go out of sync with our upstream packages..
