Server: HPE ProLiant MicroServer Gen 10 Plus

System to install: Proxmox Backup Server

The disk on which the PBS is to be located: 32 GB USB pendrive

And a question... How to set the bios in HPE to enable you to select a pendrive during installation as the disk on which PBS will be installed. At the moment I only see HDDs.

I used a pendrive for over 3 years and it worked very well. Is it not possible to use a pendrive as a disk with the system in PBS 3.2? If so, can I ask for advice on how I could set up the HPE server to make it possible?

Ps. The system crashed during the last upgrade (the update itself from version 2 to 3.2 went fine, but then the last update - around October 1st - caused the system to no longer want to start).

I would also like some additional advice - if not a pendrive.
What disk is best to use in this case? I tried the Plextor 128GB SSD and the system did not want to detect it either. What is the problem? I tried booting the system on both Legacy and UEFI.

My Samsung SSDs (not Enterprise) were at over 80% wearout after just under 6 months. Then I switched to Enterprise class, and the consumption is now around 2% per year.

As an example, 2 enterprise SSD's could do the job well, or install directly on the storage where backup data is stored (if there is enough performance). So if you only have 2 HDD's for the backups, you will of course want to install the OS on there own physical drives.
