Hi!

Can anyone give me a suggestion how can handle this szenario?

I have a Proxmox VE and a standalone Proxmox Backup Server (all versions are up to date).
The VE backups every day to the PBS, there is no problem.

Is it possible to configure the PBS in a way, that we can use HDD Storage which will be changed every day? Like USB-HDD connected to the PBS one for every day?

I connected each hard disk once to the PBS and configured every disk as a separate storage.
Now the problem is, if I change the disk it is not cleanly unmounted (because it's in use) and the new connected hard drive is not mounted.

Is it possible to configure such "changeable media" for hard disks?

Sure I can shutdown and reboot between the backups so the new storage is mounted correctly, but that leaves error messages for the storages which are not connected at this time.

We use Tandberg RDX-Medias for backups. These are normal hard disks.

Thanks for your suggestions,

Jens
