How to freeing space from datastore?

I have tried garbage collection but no results...
How can I freeing space from datastore?

if you deleted some backups, the garbage collection only deletes the relevant unused chunks after an additional day. (so maybe run the garbage collection again after a day or two)
note that deleting a backup does not necessarily frees chunks, since they are deduplicated and maybe used in some other backups
