[SOLVED] how to delete a container or VM if there is no more disk linked to it?

I was hoping that someone from the staff would respond on my other thread about suggestions for a better UI but apparently not.
How do you delete containers or VM that don't have any disk or data because of complete crash for example of the disk and no backup? how do you delete totally from the system and manually, since the GUI won't do it because there is no disk data.

so here it was 2 contianers so it was in the /etc/pve/lxc

Hi,
simply remove the config (but be sure to remove the right file ;)).

Take a look in /etc/pve/qemu-server/ for an kvm-VM.

I'm not convinced of a such brutal method. I rather comment-out the missing hardware in the .conf file. Then I'm using the GUI to remove the CT/VM so the Proxmox will handle the rest of the process.
