Hi! I'm trying to install proxmox on my external SSD, and when i try to access the server after the installation in doesn't work. I'm sure there is something wrong with my configuration. The thing is that i have a pc with build in wifi and when i install i have 2 option in the interface dropdown: wlp4so - mac address (iw/wifi) and enp6s0 - mac address (igc). I tried with both of them but nothing works, and different IPs and Gatways and DNSs. If someone could help me with this i would appreciate.

Does Proxmox boot after the install - i.e do you see a lot of text appearing on the screen followed by a "Welcome to Proxmox Virtual Environment" message?

yes it does and it also shows the link i should access to configure the server, but that doesn't work,

And you really have chosen a IP that is part of your routers subnet? And you didn't forgot to type in the ":8006" at the end or the "s" of the "https://"?

so when i looked in windows under my wifi: it showed at IPv4 addresses 192.168.0.112/24, so in proxmox i added 192.168.0.155. I mean i thought it was right

and also on my wifi properties it says that the default gateway is 192.168.0.1 and the dns server is the same. So i did the same thing in proxmox installation

Then it should be fine.

And you also kept the defaut 24 CIDR when installing it?

You could login as root and then check if the pveproxy service is running and if your interface is up:
systemctl status pveproxy
ip addr

but still when i enter on another computer and try yo connect it says that it took to long to respond. But if i ping the same ip that it says to connect inside the pve it works, no packets are lost, if i ping for example 8.8.8.8 it says destination host unreachable.

Did you actually setup your wifi? It won't work if you don't set it up first pointing to the correct SSID with correct password. And your guests will probably not be able to access the internet anyway. See here: https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/WLAN

So I would highly recommend to bridge that enp6s0 and not the wlp4s0 to your vmbr0.

And according to ip addr all your interfaces are down...so no interface doing any work.

to be honest i didn't do anything to my wifi. But if by doing this when i use proxmox, the others won't have access to internet well...would be pointless
