How to change the Master node

I am using raggedy old equipment, so please bear with me. I have 2 nodes, one mini PC with an NVME which is where I stick all the important stuff and I have it on a battery backup. The other is a 10+ year old laptop whose battery has been shot ever since it came into my possession. They are a part of the same cluster, though I don't use any HA since I have only the 2 and the nodes are so dramatically different. I only have them clustered for management purposes.

My problem is, any time I lose power, 2-4 times a year, the laptop ticks off and all VM's from both nodes become unavailable. They remain unavailable until I can turn the laptop on. After that, all VM's from both nodes comes up without issue.

I recently lost power while driving away from the house going on vacation and couldn't access any of my self-hosted bits until I got back :(

I assume it's because the laptop is the master and when it's down, the main node doesn't know what to do? I am just guessing. Anyone have tips/starting point for me to troubleshoot? I don't really have room in the battery backup without unplugging other needed items.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you. I'll probably just break the cluster and manage them independently. I don't have another machine to provide a third vote
