[SOLVED] HOW TO CHANGE ROOT PASSWORD OF A CT

I need to reset root password of a CT.
I have tried https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Root_Password_Reset#Resetting_the_root_account_password_in_a_Container

"710 failed to get the init pid" is the error I am getting running the first command.

pct enter <CTID>

instead

i have the same issue. When i try

pct enter 200

, i get

"Configuration file 'nodes/pve/lxc/200.conf' does not exist"

.

I assume you have no CT 200?

And please do not reply to old threads which are marked as "solved", instead:

• read documentation
• search the forum for similar questions
