How do I pin CPU cores to a VM?

Dear All,

as the headline states: Is it possible to pin specific CPU cores to a VM? I got a real time application and I want to try to improve the performance, I would like to cancel the virtualization overhead. Is there something similar like PCI passthrough for CPU's?
