I'm still new to this.
How do I know what type of RAID array is installed on my server?
Raid 10 or Raid 6?
I manage the server via Proxmox.
My server: Hp Proliant dl380 gen9

Hi,

pve-manager: not correctly installed (running version: 7.4-19/f98bf8d4)
first of, please check your PVE installation - as it seems to be somewhat broken. Did you install via the ISO or Debian first and then PVE on top?

Also, 7.4 has been EOL since the middle of the last year, so consider upgrading as soon as possible too!

How do I know what RAID array is installed in my Proxmox?
Do you mean the filesystem? E.g. if you are using ext4/xfs or some ZFS/Btrfs RAID?

Well, first of the output of cat /etc/pve/storage.cfg would be interesting, then either zpool status or btrfs filesystem show /.

If you mean the hardware raidcontroller, then most likely by checking the specs or connecting to the iLO interface and check the hardware inventory.

The lspci -nnk output can give you some indication too, but might only list the chipset of the RAID controller.

I entered these three commands into the Pve Proxmox console.
RAID ARRAY not specified =(

I wrote about this problem in this thread.

I still can't solve it, but my servers are working fine.

You configured a hardware RAID, not software RAID. So you have to read it information about it using their tools.

Since you have a HPE server, you'll most likely need the SSA (Smart Storage Administrator). Can either boot it directly as a disk, or use the ssa / ssacli tools HP provides via their own apt repository (keyword: HPE SDR).

dont know if that works on your gen9 / ILO4 version but i can login to ILO go to "System Information" -> "Storage"
under "Storage Summary" i can select "Volumes" and there i can see the volumes, amount of drives and raid levels
