How can we use Configure Vcenter to Import VM from VSphere 7

I have VMware Cluster and Want to Import VM from VCenter Is that Possible to use VCenter in place of Esxi ? If yes how .. I am trying to do same but i able to give the list of vmx files but when we try to import it fails give Transport end point not connected . Please share the best practice to import VM from Vmware .

vCenter cannot be a direct replacement for ESXi when importing VMs in Proxmox, because Proxmox‘s import tools (such as qm importovf or qm importdisk) usually require direct access to the ESXi host and not through vCenter.
