A WD Red 3tb drive i thought would be good as a HDD for my desktop PC and i repurposed for my NAS.

Should i scrub my pool before replacing the drive? I have an extra drive on hand.

Wouldn't bother scrubbing, it's probably SMR. Replace with CMR and have a happier life

But yes, it should get replaced, in my opinion.

With enough redundancy on the vdev level you could run a "long self-test" and then wait for "Currently pending" rising again. But that's a dangerous game and definitely not recommended.

In any case: make sure to have restorable backups before making experiments...

I fixed the resilver. Guess the startup numbers killed it over time 9000ish even if it didnt do so much work. Think i need to look into the economics of my nas with spin down/up. Cheers.
