Host monitor

Hi Team,

Is it or would it be possible to get the hardware info such as fan speed temp info power used and so on on the gui of proxmox itself.

Please let me know if that is already there and how to get it.

Proxmox VE does not have that feature at the momment. IIRC, temperature detection is very much motherbaord specific, and it's difficult to find the proper settings on each system.
As an alternative you could install munin + lm_sensors.

Hiya,

I understand that. The only thing is that with vmware you get that option and can monitor the host easily. I am not comparing both products as there is a lot of difference but being able to monitor the host is vital when you are running many virtual machines on that one host.

Proxmox is a very good platform and free so I know we can not ask too much from the developers team but that would be a good feature to have and ups management i suppose.

Hi,
the point is VMware has certificated Hardware so they got the information of this HW.
I mean the Hardware companies send them the bus information. There is no real standard.
