Hello! I am setting up my first homelab and I was wondering if y'all could help me out (I've been stuck for days on this).
Objective: Create an internal "LAN" network separate from my Home network "WAN". All my servers will live in here and my OPNsense VM will be the gateway (10.10.0.1).
Architecture:
OPNsense WAN: ISP router -> Port 1 (untag vlan 1) -> Port 2 (Proxmox server with OPNsense tagged vlan 1, 2) -> vmbr0 (vlan aware) -> vtnet0 (tag = 1) -> OPNsense VM
OPNsense LAN: LAN Device -> Port n (untag vlan 2) -> Port 2 (tag vlan 1, 2) -> vmbr0 (vlan aware) -> vtnet1 (tag = 2) -> OPNsense VM
Problem: After configuring everything it all works besides the OPNsense WAN. I cannot reach the ISP router for some reason. If anyone has some insight that would be much appreciated!
Bonus: I using vlan 1 is frowned upon but how would I use a different vlan besides 1 for my "WAN" network? example, vlan 10 for "WAN" my router can only assign 192.168.1.x to devices, 192.168.10.x is out of scope for it.
Any other feedback/criticism is also welcome, thanks!
