Hi, what is the best way to see why my Home Assistant VM suddenly stopped? I understand this is a complex question but can anyone give me some pointers? Proxmox logs? Or HA logs? Any tips what to took for in the sea of text?

I see on tteck's Proxmox Helpers site a mention of Proxmox VE Monitor-All "This is particularly useful if you're experiencing problems with Home Assistant becoming non-responsive every few days/weeks."

Is HAOS VM crashing a known issue? I especially went to Proxmox on Intel for increased HA stability :) Thanks!

Hi,

I am not an expert in Linux and VMs, but I have been using Home Assistant in Virtual Machine for the last 3 year without any problem. My first year I had a Windows 10 pro and I was running Home Assistant in Hyper-V. I stated to have other non related issues with this Windows, so I decided to transfer this VM to my Synology Virtual Machine. All this time it ran flawless (apart from Windows issues).

Did you have any other unexpected shutdown?

I am going to transfer all my VMs and Containers to Proxmox because I believe it is more realiable and fast than my two first options.

Hi Andre, thanks. It's been solid after that incident. It's probably a too low memory limit. In any case, I'd like to know how to approach an issue like this - best practices. What's the first thing to look for and where. Stuff like that. Thanks again!
