Lots of threads about this on this forum...
Can you logon to the Proxmox host console using a physical keyboard and display using the user named root and the password you entered in the installer?
Does the Proxmxo host console show a URL to use to connect to it (and what is it)?
What is the output of the ip r and ip a commands on the Proxmox host console?
What is the IP address of the system according to your router? What is the IP address (and subnet) of your router?
What is the IP address of the other system that you use to connect to the Proxmox host via a browser or SSH?

You didn't told us about your configuration. Usually its one of there 3 problems:
1.) use used "http:" and not "https:" a the start of your URL
2.) you didn't used ":8006" at the end of the URL
3.) you installed PVE with the default IP 192.168.100.2/24 which is not part of your routers subnet, so no client can access the PVE host, as they are not part of the same subnet. In such a case reinstall PVE using a free IP of your routers subnet.

did i mention that i was a new boy so maybe i did do that as i wasn't sure would you plz explain how i do this as i run the ac1200 router were do i get these and i tried youtube and they seem to use default wich i did but sounds like i shouldn't if u got the time plz pm with how to in this part the rest i was ok at thanks guys for the prompt replies

You should log into your routers webUI and have a look at all the options there. Usually somewhere there should be the IP your router is using. And a list of all IPs your attached clients are using. And there should be the IP range that your routers DHCP server is assining to DHCP clients. You then want to use a IP for your PVE host that no other device is already using, that is part of your routers subnet and that is not part of the DHCP IP range.

Dunuin i thought i did that as i looked and the ip came up in the list but i used that one and it didnt connect either but i did use the ip scanner program and it could ping the proxmox instal thats were i was stumped so to speak so id guess there is a communication to the box

Your router probably uses 192.168.0.10 up to 192.168.0.254 for DHCP. (but please check this yourself) Therefore it only routes the subnet 192.168.0.0/24. The router probably has IP address 192.168.0.1. That leaves 192.168.0.2 upto 192.168.0.9 free for you to use for computers in your local network that do not use DHCP (like Proxmox). Higher IP addresses are not available and maybe you used some of the lower numbers for other computers. But please check your router and your local network as these numbers are just examples.

EDIT: Have you tried reinstalling Proxmox with IP address 192.168.0.2 (for example)?
