Hi,
I have a Ubuntu Server (64bits) over Proxmox and I need to connect through telnet to an ip address like:
telnet 12.34.56.78 8443
I'm using a KVM model for the Virtual Machine. Ethernet is rtl8139, bridge mode: vmbr0.
I have also a Win XP installed in the same Proxmox. It goes OK with Win XO (telnet 12.34.56.78 8443) and I get response from server with the same Ethernet adapter and bridge mode.
Although, while using Ubuntu I simply just can't. Seems there is no response from server.
The network scenario is quite simple:
[internet] - [router:192.168.10.1] - [proxmox:192.168.10.2] - [ubuntu (10.04) : 192.168.10.4]
Tried to connect to 12.34.56.78 on 8443 on a Windows machine, without any problem. Also I've tried Ubuntu connection inside a VM machine on the same PC with success!
Can you figure out why is this happening? Any hints on this?
Also couldn't configure OpenVpn properly. Can't get connectivity to vpn Server. Can this be due to the same thing?
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
Mario
