Hello,
I've been provisioned two bare metal servers from a hosting provider. They provided a wizard to automatically install Proxmox on both systems. Also, both bare metal servers are tied to one public IP. I followed the Proxmox instructions to get them into a cluster and that works great.
What I'm wanting to do from here (i think) is setup pfsense at the cluster level so I'm just setting up VLANs, rules, etc. on one firewall - that BOTH hosts will fall under. I'm not really sure which level(s) to approach this from. Other posts have mentioned doing an HA cluster, some say SDN, others say get two individual pfsense instances going (one for each host) and some have said to look at CARP (https://docs.opnsense.org/manual/hacarp.html).
Could someone nudge me in the right direction? I have experience installing and configuring Proxmox and pfsense on a SINGLE host environment, but the cluster stuff is new to me.
Thanks!
