Help with initializing new internal SSD and configuring it

I'm new to Proxmox. I installed Proxmox on an internal 32GB SSD (Sata). Now I also have a new SSD (SATA) with 512GB.

I now have to configure this and need a few tips. I would like to use the 512GB SSD to store VMs / LCXs on it and also to store their snapshots (yes, I will also back these up externally in the future).

After some research I now have the following questions:
- Should I format the 512GB SSD with a partition?
- Can I then create 2 Logical Volumes on it? one for VM /LXC disks and one for snapshots?
- How would I have to format this LV then?
- The connection between physical volume and group is still unclear to me.

I would prefer these volumes to be thinly provisioned so that I can adjust the size later.

Thanks for tips and suggestions. Instructions on how to do this in the command line would also be welcome.

Update: I'm not using ZFS and also don't intend to use it. I have one Proxmox Server running on a HP T630 with 20GB RAM and a Sonoff Zigbee Stick for the HAOS VM. Later I need a Windows VM (for those reasons, when you need a Windows)
