Hello guys, I would like a tip from you, I will be doing the exchange of my proxmox discs.
I'm thinking of putting a 1TB SSD for VM and CT, none has a database where there will be enough recordings.
And to store the snapshots, I thought about a 1TB IronWolf.
What do you think, will this combination perform well?

Do you have a specific model name in mind?

The one thing you should consider is the TBW value or DWPD. The former tells you how much data can be written to the SSD before it is likely to fail. The latter says the same thing but in a different metric -> Device writes per day.

For a good SSD with a size of 1TB the TBW value should be in the Petabyte range. Really good ones have 2 to 4 PB.

And get SSDs for mixed used which can read and write with decent speed. And avoid quad level (QLC) SSDs like the pest (or corona ;) ) once their write cache is full, their write performance is abysmal.
