Okay i understand to create a KVM virtual machine...all i have to do is upload the iso file of the OS and then follow the instructions by creating the new vm. Now this is not the same way to create an openVZ container...so can someone please tell me how to create an openVZ with my own os file?

Also i cannot upload my own template...so how do i create this openVZ container?

Thanks

Hi,
for the beginning you should start with defined templates.
Select on the left side the local storage for an node -> Content -> Template
There you can download predefined template, which are ater that choosable during openvz-VM creation.

I tried that already and i tried to install centos6 and when i power on the container..it was blank and nothing happened

Also what is the use of container when i cannot download the things i really want and have to use what they provide me? I mean that is ridiculous.

The use of container is very clear - easy virtualisation with an very small footprint.

work for many people - so I don't think it's ridiculous.

Perhaps, you don't have read the announcement? http://forum.proxmox.com/threads/11...for-OpenVZ-Debian-containers-(V2-2-and-later)
