Good dear group.

I have this problem and I hope you can help me, I have a problem.

I have a proxmox server mounted in ovh with 4 2 tera disks which by default are installed in raid 1.

I want to have the 4 disks to have the maximum possible storage, destroying the raid1.

The procedure that I carried out was the following.

umount, mdadm stop, mdadm destroy, mdadm zero superblock.

In the configuration I have a vg group called vg and it contains the /dev/md5

The disk array contains the 4 disks mentioned, sda4, sdb4, sdc4, sdd4.

What is synchronizing is the partition /var/lib/vz

What would be the correct procedure, because I have already carried out the procedure twice and the proxmox does not start, it is damaged.

attached

partition.

Good day Guillo,

i know that maybe you don't need this answer anymore but i bought the OVH Bare Metal today and i had the same problem.

You can not change the hardware RAID but you can choose in the setup section how many disk proxmox should use for the installer. I have 3 disks and i chose 1 disk. After the setup and the first login i am able to have 3 disk without raid or create a software raid inside the disk partitioning.

Hope this will help somebody!

Ciao!
