help adding a new physical hard drive to proxmox ve

hi,
im new to proxmox just installed for the 1st time yesterday after seeing it on hack5, i used to use vmware.

my problem is, i dont know how to add a new physical harddrive to the system, i started off with a 160 gb drive, and now want to add a 1tb for our video server, after i connect the drive and all, is there some commands i need to do so i can see the drive in the web interface?

1. do you use KVM or OpenVZ?
2. and do you plan to have a cluster or just a single host?

thanks for the reply, i use KVM and right now its single but i would like to cluster later on, like few mths time

i apologizes if u answered this many times before but i did a search and alot of stuff came up but did not really work

alternative, you can extend the existing LVM group (pve) and grow the ext3 filesystem. you will find howto´s in the forum but I suggest you go the first way, creating a new LVM group.
