They leapfrog. A few months back it was DeepSeek, then it was Qwen, right now it seems to be Grok 3. ChatGPT will probably catch up again soon and the cycle will continue. Brave (a.k.a. Leo) is pretty good for search summaries.

It also depends on whether you're trying to get results, or learn - When I'm less sure about how to vet the answer I'll try in multiple to learn basic terminology and rough ideas, but then verify with forum posts or kb articles once I have better terms to search with.
The less you know, the less you should trust them. The more you know, the more equipped you are to weed out the nonsense - but it will present statistically likely words and phrases, which is useful all on its own for figuring out what you don't know you don't know.
