[SOLVED] HDD Move from One PVE node to another

Hi,

I have setup another node of PVE and I detached the disk from my old PVE node abd attached it to this newer node.

I can see under Disks option my new HDD is detected and displayed without doing any extra configuration so it seems like new PVE node auto detected the already configured LVM-thin based HDD.
However the disk is not displayed under STORAGE options in the left pane so which is why i am not able to use this HDD.

I have a VM on this HDD already setup and I want to be able to use that VM by creating a new VM and assigning it vm disk image so that I dont have to do re-install of VM and avoid data loss.

Attached is screenshot of the HDD i am talking about, displaying under DISKS but not under STORAGE in left pane.

How can i display this HDD display in the left pane under storage?

hi,

you have to add the storage manually: Datacenter -> Storage -> Add -> LVM-Thin and select your VG and thinpool
