HBA für Proxmox Intel S3420GP und X3450 als Testumgebung

Hallo @all,

welchen HBA sollte ich für PVE für ZFS verwenden (Intel S3420GP Server 1 x Xeon X3450 2,67 GHz)?

Ich möchte über die internen SATA Ports Proxmox betreiben und 8 x SAS Platten unter ZFS nutzen um mich in ZFS einzuarbeiten und Erfahrungen zu sammeln.

es sollte egal sein solange du eine HBA verwendest und keinen Raid im JBOD mode.
 
Nein, die Festplatten werden durchgereicht.

Bei der Erstellung des ZFS auch die Proxmox Platte aufnehmen, bzw. Proxmox auf die erste Festplatte installieren und alle baugleichen Festplatten in das ZFS einbinden?

ZFS ist dynamisch erweiterbar und das ganze auch online.

Von RaidCotroller in JBOD mode würde ich dir abraten hat immer zu komischen Fehlern geführt.
 
Es sind 8 baugleiche Festplatten und werden durchgereicht, besser gesagt als RAID 0 für jede einzelne Platte im HBA / Controller!
 
Wie gesagt HBA != Raid0|JBOD
Schau mal ob du die Möglichkeit hat die Raid Karte in den IT-Mode zu flashen?
