Having an issue updating

Currently on version 2.04 and can't update to the newest version using apt update or apt dist upgrade for this and Proxmox. It says the server is unavailable

that depends on how you configured your host.

what is the content of /etc/resolv.conf ?
 
I think I fixed it by changing the dns server I can upgrade but not update which is good enough, but I changed the name server to 9.9.9.9

great, but what do you mean by 'i can upgrade but not update' ?
