I am just costing up a proxmox solution to take over from a VMware deployment. The current planned hardware is:
2 x DELL R410 Dual Xeon
24 Gb RAM
2 x SATA 500Gb 7200 rpm (mirrored for Proxmox OS)
6Gbps SAS HBA
1 x DELL MD3200 SAS Storage Array (Not iSCSI) with 4 x SAS ports
Does anyone have any experience of installing PVE 2 on an R410? Any compatibility issues?
Am I correct in thinking the virtual servers stored on the MD3200 will be accessibly by both host servers therefore making a live migration possible?
Any comments / suggestions welcome before I shell out a lot of money for this kit.
