Hi folks,
I am a complete newbie when it comes to proxmox.
I have the following hardware at my disposal:
Intel Core i7-2600K @ 3.40GHz
Turbo Speed Up to 3.8 GHz
# of Physical Cores 4 (Threads: 8)
vt-d: no
Intel Core i5-2500 @ 3.30GHz
Turbo Speed Up to 3.7 GHz
# of Physical Cores 4 (Threads: 4)
vt-d: yes
It's not the latest hardware, but it should still be enough for a homeserver like NAS and some VMs.
Will I benefit more from the stronger processor and the more threads of the i7-2600k or from the vt-d functionality of the i5-2500 in Proxmox?
Thank you in advance.
