ha cluster wouldn´t work

hi all,

i have create 2 server with proxmox dvd. on this 2 servers i have do this:

server1:

pvecm create srv-01

server2:

pvecm create srv-02

after this, i have do:

server1:
pvecm add ip-of-srv02

server2:
pvecm add ip-of-srv01

but i get the message, already exist?!?!

in this 2 servers a have remove the # in fancing config and reboote this 2 servers. the rgmanager service i cant start ?!?

i would add server 2 in server 1, for configure alle vms ... in one server and i would using ha, if server 1 have errors, vms are booting of server 2. i dont know, what is the error. can you help me please to tell a step-by-step tutorial for do this. very thanks

Hi,
why you create two didifferent server with only one node?

If you have an cluster, simply add the other node. See

man pvecm

BTW. it's not the best idea to use an 2-node-cluster for ha. You will run in trouble, because if one node die, you don't have an quorum.

You can use an quorum-disk or (I think much better) an third node.

hi, ok, but if i use one cluster and would add the node of server2 with
pvcem add <ip of 2nd server)
i get the message:
authentication key already exist

what is the error? if i use -force, i can add this, but the server doesn´t sync or do i must wait more as 15 minutes?

-> ahhhh i must use the add command on 2nd server...

You need to run that on the other server (using the if of the first server).
