H092P Dell PRO/1000 Network Interface Names change after reboot

Have a HP Z420 workstation with a H092P Dell PRO/1000 Network NIC and started testing PVE 8.

However I'm noticing the Network Interface Names keep changing. Attached is a before/after screenshot of a compare from running

ip a

. The left side is after a fresh install. The right side is after installing any updates from the pve ui and the rebooting. I've also noticed this issue if I turn the system off for a day or two.



Tried using

/etc/udev/rules.d/70-local-persistent-net.rules

but didn't help

This was not an issue with PVE 7.x.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Added a bond and some more bridges and the NIC's change names again...
