Got our tape library installed into our PBS. I've got the drives and tapes all working and assigned to pools. I've started building out tape backup jobs, but I'm having an issue from what is likely my misunderstanding on how to setup the job correctly.
I'm wanting the job to backup the snapshots everyday to tapes and append them until the tape is full.
This is what the job looks like currently:
Right now after every backup it's marked the tape as full and requests another tape from the pool. This particular namespace only uses 2TB of data, so even doing a complete backup daily to the tapes should at least require over a week of writes.
In this screenshot you will see 3 tapes in use, the ones from Tue and Wed are before I checked the box "latest only" on the job.
