No matter what I do on my two current windows 2022 servers I cannot get server 2025 to upgrade. I have rolled back to 0.1.229 virtio drivers, etc and it keeps coming back with the same error every time:

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
More joy and looking at other posts. The solution for me was to remove processor type "qemu64" and choose host. Here's the rub though. You cannot change it to this processor type that worked fine on server 2022. If I try to swap it back it goes into a reboot loop. Does anyone have any insight on why this is the case and the qemu64 processor type seems to be damned in Server 2025?
Is the VM in a boot loop? Backups available? Server 2025 creates larger bootloader structures, writes new BCD files and updates secure boot components. In the first place, I would create a new and larger EFI disk, mind. size 32M - better 64M. In addition, deactivate IOTHREAD & DISCARD only for the update process. If everything works, you can re-enable this. CPU type qemu64 is not really a good choice. Try x64-64-v2/v3.
The AES option also works - thank you I will use that. This is the tools version I am using also. I have seen some posts that the latest drivers and 2025 have issues.
