Sorry if this is a daft question, but it doesn't seem immediately obvious.

My server has two disk arrays, one built from SATA and the other from SSD. Is it possible to format a guest vm to effectively have two disks, one from the SATA array and one from SSD?

As mentioned it doesn't seem particularly obvious.

Are they local disks? you should be able to just create two disks in the VM config and pick which storage they use

can a vm use both though, ie different mount points in linux and say c: & d: for Windows.
