Guest errors for a Linux Guest (cmdline: Too many open files)

I am getting two errors when starting a Linux guest.

qmeventd[1559]: error opening /proc/2969814/cmdline: Too many open files
qmeventd[1559]: could not get vmid from pid 2969814

This error is persistent when it is running and fills up logs. Issue follows guest when moving between nodes.

This is on a three node cluster running on Dell/AMD hardware with 256GB Ram with Ceph Storage.

Guest is Linux Mint 20.06 with 4GB RAM.

something on your system (PVE) opened more files than default limit. Have you installed any 3rd party apps? Do you have run-away scripts?

I will look at this and Google further. There are no 3rd party apps on the cluster nodes. The guest runs the control software for Ubiquiti equipment we have at out client sites.

The OS or App on the guest should have no bearing at all on "open files" limit on the hypervisor that you seem to be hitting.
