[SOLVED] Grub : disk lvmid not found

Hello there !
This morning I ran into a serious issue. Boot failed with this message :

I stopped the server yesterday, no updates or something, no hardware replacement... It worked perfectly. Any idea ?

Maybe it is related to these issues? Sorry, I have no experience with this particular issue myself but it seems to happen rather regularly to people here.

Hi,

please have a look at the Recovering from grub "disk not found" error when booting from LVM section here: https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Recover_From_Grub_Failure

Alternatively to using a live system, you could try booting PVE using SuperGrubDisk 2.04 (not 2.06 -- this is important) [1], and then triggering any LVM change (see the wiki page for details).
