Hello,
I'm looking for a way to grow a RAIDZ-1 with four 3TB disks by another two disks. I naively assumed this would be as straightforward as it is with mdadm RAID, but it seems it isn't. Code for this seems to exist in ZFS on Linux but obviously won't hit Proxmox until at least Debian 12 is released.
Is there a way to boot the machine with a live system that already contains that code and do the expansion? Or is there another way?
I cannot afford to lose the data, it consists of several offsite backups which work quite well incrementally, but another full backup of all sites would take several weeks (!) to complete over DSL. If it were possible to sync everything to a huge external drive (I have 8TB on hand), then I could probably sync, do a reinstall and sync again. But it seems it isn't, see my other thread.
Thanks,
Andreas
