Hi I followed a guide, and have had some success in creating the configuration I was after.
However the VM shows the Nvidia card present, but with a yellow exclamation "windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems".

I reread the guide and I had somehow missed the step where I configure the GPU like https://imgur.com/z4yVl5U
Once done, and rebooted the VM shows a working NVIDIA GT 730. It did lock up soon aferwards, but thats can be another days problem.
