I have an i7 8086 that is currently a Hackintosh. I have been thinking about installing Proxmox and passing through the video card and running MacOS in a VM.

I have done this with a newer mashine without issue.

Will I be able to do this with this older processor and Z-370 motherboard?

It depends on the IOMMU groups (and VT-d support by the CPU and motherboard) and whether your GPU reset properly. I don't know how to check this on a "Hackintosh" and I have no experience with your motherboard and your GPU. You probably also want to PCIe passthrough at least one USB controller.

For those that might follow this. I didn't have any issues with passthrough with this combination. Worked perfectly.
