I have several VMs dedicated solely to technical construction tasks. My problem is that as soon as I zoom in on an assembly, the movement of the assembly is no longer smooth. To rule out the GPU as the cause, I tested another VM with a similar GPU, but I encountered the same result.
The GPUs work perfectly when running standalone, with no delays even with complex assemblies.
My suspicion is that the GPU might still be handling some background tasks... but perhaps you have a different idea. In the Task Manager on Windows 11, the GPU is listed as dedicated, with the full 8 GB of memory.
