Gmail unreachable | connection timed out

Recently I've started to get connection time outs and email started getting blocked.

I am able to ping from the Proxmox shell :

Running PVE 7.2-7, everything else is working fine. How review/modify email configurations?

if you check the journals more thoroughly around the time of the connection timeouts, do you see any error messages related to networking?

please do journalctl -b0 > journal.txt and check the resulting txt file, you can also attach it here for us to take a look at it (you might want to censor some information in that case)

Networks works great / I hove no other errors from Proxmox or any of the services running in 5 VMs & CTs.

Is there a way to configure another email and/or edits IMAP/SMTP host and ports from the Proxmox shell?

Learned a lot as I began to troubleshoot this myself. Many ISPs and VPN providers will block port 25 to combat email spam. Xfinity may be able to unblock it for you temporarily (not without mind-numbingly long conversations with their support team).

Can almost guarantee this port is blocked by default if you're attempting relay from a residential public IP address.
