Hi,
Here is my situation. I have live server Windows 2008 Server - no VM. I was wondering if one could copy an image of this working server and install it on Proxmox. i.e maybe switch it off and dd the whole os or HDD and save it as an .img file which could then be loaded within Proxmox?
Am a beginner with Proxmox and curious with the possibilities Proxmox could offer. Idea is start using Proxmox and then migrate Active Directory from this Win 2008 server to Win 2016 server on the same hardware.
Would really appreciate pointers on this if there is a solution to getting this done.
Best regards,
Tanka
