HI guys and gals

I am setting up 2 proxmox servers the 1st server has 5x10TB of hard drives and an m.2 (2TB) and the second server has 2x m.2 (2Tb each) plus a 240GB SATA SSD

i was wondering what is the most efficnet way to use the sotrage for VM's
should i virtualise truenas and share via NFS or is there a better way to do this with in proxmox its self?

Hello,
By setting up local ZFS Pool -with same name on each (!)- on both servers, you would be able to do ZFS Replication between servers and thus, make a first step towards HA.

But be careful, the difference of storage amount on your servers (5x10TB on first, 240GB on second) will only allow you to replicate **some** of your vms. You will have to choose which ones are most critical for you.

Best regards,

GD
