New proxmox use here, just installed it about a week ago and everything's been great so far. Today I noticed that I'm getting gray "status unknown" icons for my LXC containers and VMs and there's a general protection fault repeating in the logs.
Everything seems to be running just fine, but what could be causing this?

I noticed this for the first time today, basically the only change I did today was adding wireguard kernel module to the host and configuring an LXC container with wireguard in it.

Attached is a sample of /var/log/messages

Looks like it's also quite reluctant to restart or shutdown itself. Tried to shutdown the whole machine but it won't do that, but I did loose all connectivity either through the browser or ssh to the host

Okay, decided to shut it down from the power button and after a reboot everything seems to be back to normal. I'm just afraid that it'll happen again. This is a used NUC that I got for a pretty good price and now I'm a bit worried if there's something wrong with the hardware

Looks like this was indeed caused by some memory errors. Ran memtest and got a bunch of errors. I switched the memory modules with each other and checked that they were properly connected and ran memtest again, this time with zero errors after one pass
