FreshClam failure

I am not getting ClamAV updates, when running FreshClam, it reports: getcvd: Can't download daily.cvd from https://database.clamav.net/daily.cvd

I tried using curl to download the file and was treated with an error code: 1020, it seems the updates are posted behind CloudFlare, hindering downloads.

Is there an alternative way to update Clam?

regarding the issue with curl returning 1020 - see https://www.clamav.net/documents/freshclam-faq
(they prohibit it since only freshclam is supported)

the issue with cloudflare seems known and affecting a wider audience: https://community.cloudflare.com/t/...-3-certificate-due-to-a-cookie-alert/252406/8

In my experience these issues occur with ClamAV every now and then, and do get resolved within a few work-days

Freshclam is working this morning.

Question: Freshclam reports:
safebrowsing.cvd database is up to date (version: 49191, sigs: 2213119, f-level: 63, builder: google)
fc_update_database: safebrowsing.cvd already up-to-date.

However the timestamp on safebrowsing.cvd is April 25, 2020 - could this be the latest & greatest?

AFAICT this has been discontinued (and we're planning on removing it from our GUI with the next major release):
