Hi,
We're in the process of installing a new node with the latest PVE ISO file (proxmox-ve_8.1-2.iso), however it doesn't seem start the installation. Instead it throws up a couple errors. Currently it is giving us the following error:
-> "mounting /dev/loop0 on /mnt/.base failed: Invalid argument". (screenshot attached)
We've tried using Secure boot enabled, disabled. UEFI with & without CSM. We made the the sha256sum matches the one listed on proxmox.com/en/downloads, which does match with our locally installed ISO.
Below a list of steps we've taken to get the ISO to work (without success):
1. Verified the BIOS has the latest version installed.
2. Tried multiple Proxmox ISO's (7.4, 8.0, 8.1).
3. Reset BIOS configuration to factory default.
4. re-installed the ISO, remounted it via IPMI (virtual-media)
We've tried the steps listed in this forum post, without any success.
Has anyone experienced this issue before?
- Edit:
Whilst writing this post, we've stumbled onto another error, which lists as:
-> [ end Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init! exitcode=0x00000100 ] (screenshot attached)
